 Why did you go into property….why Industrial?
I spoke to a chap called Trevor Dawson, a surveyor in Accrington when I was about 13 and he told me you never see a poor surveyor and they all drive BMW’s– and I thought “That’s for me”. Why Industrial - Industrial agents are the highest evolution of the species, plus I come from a manufacturing background.

 If you weren’t a surveyor what would you be doing?
I wasn’t good enough to play football for Burnley, so probably something to do with food.

 What was the last CD you bought?
Had to download a Michael Jackson CD for the kids this week.

 Rugby or football?
Football - Love playing, but a bit too old now, and a devout follower of the mighty Burnley. No one plays Rugby where I grew up.

 Which deal are you most proud of?
Palletforce at Burton on Trent, we worked with them for 4 years, getting the layout right and putting short term leases in place so that everything came together in time for the new shed which opened for business 2nd January this year

 What are your hobbies?
Sport - playing & watching football & cricket, weekends are spent ferrying two sport mad boys to football, cricket, squash, swimming, rugby, golf… Don’t mind doing a bit of cooking (potato pie a speciality!)

 Estates Gazette or Property Week?
PW. EG has just run a poorly researched, inaccurate story that has caused some headaches, so they aren’t flavour of the month.

 What is your most memorable moment…in property?
The IAS fund raising in 2005 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and particularly the Calendar. Persuading 11 other agents (male & female) to pose naked in a foundry in the Black Country and then organising production and selling the calendar was good fun and we raised a lot of money.

 What is your favourite building and why?
St Peter’s Basilica in Rome - it’s awe inspiring irrespective of your religious beliefs.

 What are you reading at the moment / last book you read?
Road to Nab End – William Woodridge

 The Sun or The Times (or alternative)?
Whatever has the best freebie

 Where would be your dream holiday destination?
Always wanted to travel round New Zealand, particularly the South Island

 Tell us an interesting fact about yourself
I played football for a Kenyan League team in a pre-season friendly, in front of a decent size crowd whilst on honeymoon. I scored (in the football).

 What CD is playing in your car?
An 80’s compilation that my kids bought me for my birthday

 Which radio station do you tune in to?
Radio 4 LW for TMS at the moment

 Favourite Shed scheme and why
Magna Park set the standard years ago and has stood the test of time.
