14 peaks, 24 hours, 5 Developers…read on
HEADLINES needs your help.
Phil Sutton of Kier Property writes:
HEADLINES this year’s IAS charity is very close to me and my wife Laura (IAS member Laura Sutton of Savills) as our son, Zach was born last year with Aperts Syndrome, a rare condition that affects the development of the head, hands and feet. He has already been through seven head and hand major operations and all before his first birthday.
HEADLINES is a small charity support group for children and families affected by Aperts or similar syndromes and provides help and advice initially to parents who are dealing with the reality of having a baby affected by one of the syndromes and then support for the children to try and help them go on to lead as independent a life as possible.
So with all the good will being shown by the IAS I thought I should do something to help. The three peaks challenge crossed my mind but this has been done as has the London marathon. I wanted something challenging and new that would inspire people to sponsor the event. My colleague Pete suggested the 14 highest Welsh peaks over 3,000 feet could be done in under 24 hours (by trained mountain rescue it turns out!)……………. And so the challenge was set. I managed to rope in (excuse the pun) Kier’s industrial team (Pete, George, Andy and Shep) and we may drag along a few unsuspecting agents for the challenge which has been set for the 30th May. This is not a straight-forward challenge by any means and your support would be gratefully received to make the forth coming pain a little more bearable! If you want to sponsor me and the team you can either send a cheque made out to the IAS to Ruth Tytherley at CBRE KIngsley House, Wimpole Street, London W1G 0RE or go to http://www.justgiving.com/headlines14peaks .
Many thanks in advance for your support ; we will let you know how we get on.
Thank you.
